Please note: these terms and conditions are not applicable for funeral services
- You will be required to sign a contract, a copy of which you should retain for your records.
- A 50% non-refundable deposit is payable at the time of signing the contract. This will hold the date and time for both parties.
- Your booking with me is only secure upon receipt of BOTH the 50% deposit, and the signed contract.
- Any outstanding balance is required 6 weeks prior to the date of your service. However, if your service is booked with less than 6 weeks’ notice, a payment in full is required at the time of booking.
- The outstanding balance is refundable, once paid, up until 48 hours prior to the service. If cancellation is made less than 48 hours prior to the service, the entire fee is due and non-refundable.
- Your cancellation must be in writing, by email to sunbeam@jeckersley.com .
- In the unlikely event that I am unable to officiate at your ceremony, an alternative celebrant will be sought to conduct the service with a full briefing and handover from me.
- In the unlikely event that I cancel the booking you will be entitled to a 100% refund.
- It is important to understand that my wedding ceremonies are not legally binding. You will need to have a civil ceremony at some stage of the process in order to be legally married. Most couples have a low-key statutory marriage registration in their local register office first, followed by the celebration of their marriage with me. The legal registration can be done at any time; however, I require this to have been completed before your ceremony with me.
- If the date of your ceremony needs to change or the venue/location, I will endeavour to accommodate any change in arrangements. All changes in this respect will need to be requested in writing and there may be additional fees payable. Please be aware that I perform other ceremonies and any change of date and/or venue without first notifying me may conflict with my schedule.
- I reserve the right to refuse to officiate at a ceremony if any of the guests are behaving inappropriately e.g. drunk and disorderly or appear to be affected by substance misuse and therefore I feel some aspect of health and safety is being compromised. In these circumstances there will be no refund of any payments made.
- I am not responsible for the safety of any of the participants at the event nor will be responsible for any accident or injury during any ceremony. The venue/land owner must be informed about the use of candles by the customer, prior to the candle ceremony taking place.
- Food/drink/wine/balloons/bubbles or other items that may be required as part of a mini-ritual must be supplied by the customer due to possible risks involved for guests suffering from allergies or food intolerances. Please ensure I am fully informed in this respect.
- I maintain full copyright of the written ceremony but will allow the couple to use and share it for their own personal use after the ceremony.
- I will ask my client’s permission to use any photographs from their ceremony, along with any testimonials and the ceremony story. Use by me includes, but is not limited to, social media and websites and will be used for promotional and information purposes.
- If the client has any objections, these must be lodged in writing by email to sunbeam@jeckersley.com
My privacy policy is available on my website. Personal data (such as name, address, contact information) will be kept for 12 months from the date of the service. It will then be removed from any storage system and paper documents shredded. Every reasonable measure is taken by me to protect and secure any personal data that is processed.
